Dozens of bowlers, many in costume, came out to Palm Coast Lanes on October 20 to have fun and help raise money for GAL 7
This was the fifth annual community fundraiser sponsored by the Shipmates, the women of PCYC. This year funds will go to GAL7 (Guardian ad Litem) Foundation, advocating for the needs of children in foster care within Florida’s Judicial Circuit Seven.
Bowlers hit the lanes in teams of 4 or 5. There were raffle prizes, and a healthy 50/50 jackpot.
Hot dogs and soft drinks were provided for everyone thanks to a grant from Thrivent Financial.
Funds raised will go to help children in Flagler, Putnam, St. Johns and Volusia Counties.
And more money is on the way. A raffle for rounds of golf at three local clubs will be held November 22. The money from that raffle will be added to the funds from the Monster Bowl and presented to GAL7 representatives.
It was a Spooktacular event.
