HISTORY:
The Palm Coast Yacht Club (PCYC) was founded more than 45 years ago by a group of boating
enthusiasts in Palm Coast. It was established as a social club with boating interests. There
was no need to own a boat to join. Bernie Jacobson served as the first Commodore of the
organization which promoted safe, responsible, and enjoyable boating activities as well as
numerous social events toward building a sense of community among its members. The PCYC
has also been the proud sponsor of the largest Christmas boat parade in Florida for more than 40
years.
PURPOSE:
The Palm Coast Yacht Club continues to provide a welcoming and vibrant community where
members can enjoy the pleasures of boating and social events and gatherings that foster
camaraderie, relaxation, and enjoyment. Our club offers a unique blend of maritime recreation
where both seasoned boaters and non-boaters can come together, share experiences, and make
memories in a supportive and friendly atmosphere. There is still no need to own a boat to join.

We are delighted to invite you to become a member of our club. Membership is open to
individuals 21 years of age and older who may or may not own boats. As a member, you will
enjoy club hosted monthly fleet cruises, educational activities to enhance your boating skills,
themed parties, luncheon and dinner events, semi-formal dinner dances, book club, and
community fundraising events. We look forward to having you with us!
