“Valentine’s Day is commonly celebrated with the one(s) you love. I didn’t want anyone to feel unthought of or unloved this year because I do love all of you,” That was the part of the invitation from Rear Commodore Terry Franklin. Members were invited to the clubhouse for an afternoon of treats, mimosas, games, and prizes.
Most members wore red in honor of the occasion. The popular mimosa also took on a red glow for Valentine’s Day. While the bottle of orange juice just sat untouched, glasses of bubbly were topped off with pomegranate juice and a raspberry for a “Hibiscus” version of the brunch beverage.
There was plenty of food to go along with the drink. After trying sandwiches, salad, deviled eggs and more, there was also a dessert table.
Valentine bingo and a matching word game gave members a chance to share laughs and insights.
