On a Saturday evening in late June it was dreary and raining outside, but members of the Palm Coast Yacht Club were enjoying a Summer Breeze. Vice Commodore Sarah Ulis arranged for the club to set up an information table in the lobby of Flagler Auditorium to meet audience members attending “Summer Breeze: A Yacht Rock Experience.” It was the perfect tie-in.
Several members showed up to staff the table and hand out literature and applications. There were also copies of the Holiday Boat Parade flyer, hot off the presses.
Club members also presented concert goers with leis in keeping with the tropical cruise theme of the evening. Each lei had a note about how to learn more about PCYC.
At least 20 members, most in Hawaiian shirts, island wear or captain’s attire, attended the concert of soft rock music from the 70s and 80s.
Afterward, the Sulsers hosted a post-concert cocktail party. Members gathered, chatted, ate, and drank until almost midnight. It was a great evening.
